Experts say communication is 7 percent the content, 23% the audio, and 70% the non-verbal.

Types of body language:

Open body language

Open body language is highly recommended because it shows positivity.

For example, keeping your arms open instead of crossing makes open body language.

Closed body language

Closed body language is not recommended because it shows negativity.

For example, crossing your hands or arms forms closed body language.

Facial expressions

Facial expressions convey a range of emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, fear, excitement, etc.

A smile on your face shows a happy expression.

An open mouth can indicate fear.

Eye contact is also an example of facial expression.

Gesture

A gesture is a cluster of body movements like a hand, face, or other parts of the body.

For example, moving your hands to say hello or hi.

Posture

Posture is how someone positions his body. For example, relaxed posture or tensed posture.
